Labyrinth of Fear is an interactive horror narrative game created using Twine as a 1 week group project for the Making Games course during my MSc in Games at the IT University of Copenhagen in the autumn semester 2022.The game follows a player who finds themselves lost in a mysterious and terrifying labyrinth after venturing into the woods. The story blends psychological horror with surreal elements, as the protagonist encounters eerie presences, dark entities, and unsettling memories, such as a haunting childhood parrot.
As the player navigates through the maze, they must make choices that determine their fate. The game uses suspenseful moments, gradual environmental transformations (e.g., walls closing in, an expanding void), and timed text effects to create an immersive and chilling experience. Some paths lead to escape, while others result in the protagonist’s demise, reinforcing the theme of fear and helplessness
